It's the five hundred and second day of the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our country. Let's briefly summarize the events of the day that has passed.
Tonight, the Russian Federation launched another missile strike on the territory of one of the infrastructure facilities in Mykolaiv. Additionally, the enemy carried out 22 airstrikes and around 30 shelling attacks from multiple rocket launchers. Unfortunately, civilian infrastructure has been destroyed, and civilians have been affected.
The U.S. Department of Defense announced an additional package of security and defense assistance for Ukraine. Among the 18 items of aid our country will receive are American-made M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
In Bakhmut, our defenders have controlled the entrances, exits, and movement of the enemy in the city for several days. This became possible because our troops gained control of the main dominant heights around Bakhmut during their advance.
Russian forces conducted artillery shelling on the evening and night of July 10th in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Fortunately, no one was injured. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported this in his telegram channel. The extent of the damage caused by Russian shells is still being determined.
SSU reported the suspicion of a priest from the UOC (MP) in the Cherkasy region who called for Russia to seize all of Ukraine. The Security Service has uncovered another priest from the UOC (MP) in the Cherkasy region who justified Russian armed aggression.
In his communication with parishioners and acquaintances, he repeatedly praised the top military and political leadership of Russia and personally glorified the Kremlin's leader. He also heroized Kadyrov and justified the war crimes of the Russian occupiers.
Today, July 10, 2023, the Mayor of Odesa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, announced that the number of casualties from the Russian attack on June 9, which targeted residential buildings, has increased to four. "A young man born in 1999 has passed away in the hospital. Doctors fought hard for his life, but the shrapnel wounds were very serious. My condolences to the family of the deceased," said the city's mayor.
In Myrhorod, Poltava region, residents paid tribute to the defenders who perished at the hands of Russian terrorists since 2014.
They installed 57 individual flags at a site near the memorial dedicated to ATO/ATO/OOS/Russian-Ukrainian war soldiers. Each flag is personalized, displaying the last name, first name, and years of life of the fallen defender. The community confirmed the deaths of 57 soldiers from the Myrhorod community in this war. Unfortunately, during the printing of individual flags, the community learned about the deaths of two more fellow citizens: Oleksiy Okhot and Yevhen Strutsky. Flags with their names will be installed shortly.
