On the occasion of the upcoming holidays, Veterans Day and International Day of Older Persons, which will be celebrated on October 1st, Kateryna Koltunova, Deputy Chief of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration, and Yuriy Semenyuk, First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council, presented flowers, certificates, and tokens of appreciation to veterans in Kirovohrad.
"Behind each of you lies a significant life journey. Although you come from different professions and possess diverse skills, there is a unifying factor – our beloved Kirovohrad region, for the prosperity of which you worked and continue to work today. You have actively utilized your life and creative potential in peacetime Ukraine, and now your experience, knowledge, and skills contribute to Ukraine's victory in the full-scale war against the Russian Federation," addressed the attendees Kateryna Koltunova.
In turn, Anatoliy Perevoznyk, the Head of the Kirovohrad Regional Organization of "Veterans of Ukraine," added that veteran organizations have been actively involved in supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the beginning of the war.
"Unfortunately, we are celebrating this holiday in the conditions of a full-scale war. Veteran organizations are actively engaged in volunteer activities, weaving camouflage nets, knitting warm clothing, and preparing food supplies to later deliver them to our defenders at the front. All our veterans are working for victory," noted Anatoliy Perevoznyk.
After the ceremony, urgent matters related to the activities of veteran organizations in Kirovohrad were discussed.
