Three people who sold drugs in messenger to be tried in Cherkasy region

Prosecutors of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to court regarding three individuals who organized a scheme for smuggling psychotropic substances and narcotics. This was reported by the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, two residents of Zakarpattia and one resident of the Cherkasy region established a scheme for smuggling psychotropic substances and strong pharmaceuticals in particularly large quantities from Hungary to Ukraine and further distributing them through the "Telegram" messenger app.

Previously, in January-February 2023, searches were conducted at the locations of the suspects in Zakarpattia and the Cherkasy region. During these searches, over 350 packages of narcotic substances and psychotropic substances, such as tramadol, Xanax, and cannabis, were confiscated from these individuals.

One of the suspects, a 28-year-old resident of Zakarpattia, was apprehended at the scene of the crime at the customs control zone in the city of Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region.
