Border guards found a draft dodger who got lost in the forest on the Ukrainian-Romanian border and needed medical assistance. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS).
Representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) contacted the border guards at the "Falkiv" border service unit of the Chernivtsi detachment. They received a call on their "Hotline" from a man who had lost his way in the border area and required medical assistance.
After an hour and a half of searching, a joint search group consisting of border guards, SES representatives, and police officers located a 32-year-old resident of the Zaporizhzhia region. It turned out that he had attempted to illegally enter Romania and had overestimated his abilities, leading to him getting lost. He had been trying to find his way for nearly a day, and then his blood pressure rose, prompting him to call for help. Law enforcement officers informed the man that he had been walking in the wrong direction and found him 15 kilometers away from the desired state border.
SES doctors provided medical assistance to the man and transported him to a medical facility. Border guards drew up an administrative protocol against the wanderer for attempting to illegally cross the border (Article 204 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
It's worth noting that over the past weekend alone, border guards from the Chernivtsi detachment detained 41 men of conscription age for attempting to illegally cross the border.
