On the night of August 24, Russian forces attacked Dnipro. Seven people were injured, and approximately a dozen buildings were damaged.
This information was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, there are injuries as a result of the attack. Later, Serhiy Lysak clarified that seven people were injured - three men and four women, aged from 32 to 55 years old. Most of them have shrapnel wounds and lacerations. Six of them were hospitalized in a moderate condition.
The attack also caused damage to a transportation facility.
"About a dozen objects were damaged, including a bank, gas station, hotel, agribusiness, furniture production facility, and an administrative building. Fifteen kiosks were destroyed," Lysak wrote.
Additionally, two buildings, three buses, several cars, contact trolleybus lines, water, and gas pipelines were damaged. The information regarding the extent of the damage is still being clarified.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in their morning briefing that a missile struck Dnipro. Information about the consequences of the attack is currently being confirmed.
One of the missiles was intercepted by the Air Command "East" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, air defense forces intercepted a missile "Iskander" in the sky over Dnipropetrovsk region.
"They attacked from Crimea, Rostov region, and the area of Tokmak. In fact, Tokmak is where the enemy usually launches guided anti-aircraft missiles at the entire region. From the Rostov region, launches of "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles were recorded. From Crimea, a "Iskander-K" cruise missile was launched, which was intercepted by our air defense forces in the Air Command "East" area of responsibility," he said during a telethon "Unified News."
