Odesita was sentenced to 15 years behind bars for targeting enemy missiles in the region

Based on the public accusation by the prosecutors of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Odessa has been found guilty of state treason and illegal handling of firearms and ammunition (Part 2 of Article 111, Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This information has been reported by the press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

He has been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with property confiscation.

Prosecutors in court demonstrated that the man voluntarily assisted the state aggressor in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.

The informant gathered information in Odessa and the region regarding the strength, movement routes of personnel, defensive fortifications, their concealment, locations of military equipment, and armaments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

He collected information on social media and Telegram channels about volunteers who provide assistance to the Ukrainian defense forces, as well as Odessa residents who actively support a pro-Ukrainian stance and share it with the public.

Additionally, the agent provided Russian handlers with personal information about Ukrainian military personnel he was acquainted with, for their potential elimination and for other crimes against them.

Seeking to maximize his potential for gathering intelligence information, the accused provided a Belarusian journalist with data regarding the preparation of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for the defense of the Odessa region.

The information he provided was subsequently used by the enemy to launch missile strikes on the region.

During the arrest, the man was found in possession of a mobile phone used in his criminal activities, as well as firearms and ammunition.

In the court hearing, the accused admitted his guilt but did not express remorse for his actions, citing his ideological preferences.
