A consolidated team of State Emergency Service (DSNS) personnel from Dnipropetrovsk has arrived in the Kherson region. This was reported by the press service of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
Nearly 100 emergency responders are assisting with the evacuation of residents from streets and buildings that have been flooded due to the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station by the occupiers.
To support these experts, 37 pieces of equipment have been provided, as stated by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak. He mentioned that police officers from Dnipropetrovsk are also working in the area, with around 150 people in total.
"We are standing together as one family against the enemy. Together, we will overcome this calamity he has brought to our land, and the terrorist will be held accountable for everything," emphasized Serhiy Lysak. "We are in constant communication with Kherson. We will provide all possible support. We are waiting for requests and are ready to send food convoys. We have reserves for emergency situations."
The head of the Regional Military Administration also noted that international organizations are coming to help. They are ready to set up hot meal points at train stations where evacuees will arrive. They are already delivering drinking water to the affected areas.
As a reminder, during the night of June 6, at 02:50, Russian forces detonated the structures of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station in the Kherson region.
As a result, about 80 populated areas, including Kherson, are at risk of flooding. Authorities and volunteers have begun the evacuation of the population from the hazardous areas.
