On June 1st, in Central Leontovych Park, a dance battle between the older and younger generations kicked off to celebrate International Children's Day. This event was reported by the Vinnytsia City Council.
A special highlight of the event was the performance by the "Golden Age" team and the "Space Girls" children's team, who prepared a dance number titled "Generational Unity."
On the Fountain Square in Central Park, women from the golden generation performed. The eldest dancer, Mrs. Anastasia, is 74 years old. She revealed that it took two months to prepare for the performance, with training sessions held three times a week.
"We were amazed that they decided to compare us with our grandchildren in a dance battle. It really pumped us up! There was only one decision: to show everyone how great we are. We practiced this dance for a very long time, and we hope everyone enjoyed it," shared the woman.
Galia Bachynska, the director of the "Tsentru" Center, emphasized that people can achieve together what they cannot do alone, and that's the power of uniting generations.
"We started preparing for the concert long in advance. What matters is that they enjoy it, that they derive pleasure from rehearsals while learning new moves. I am happy that we have the opportunity to showcase such talented women," said Galia Bachynska.
At the event, an exhibition with creative works was also presented, created by visitors of the Vinnytsia City Territorial Center for Social Services. For the children, there were workshops on sand animation and painting on water using the "Ebru" technique. All participants received sweet gifts and a dose of positive emotions.
