In Cherkasy region, a son killed his father and dismembered him

In the Cherkasy region, in the Zolotonosha district, the dismembered body of a sixty-year-old man was found. The victim's thirty-seven-year-old son was detained by law enforcement officers after confessing to killing his father. This information was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Cherkasy region.

The police received information that a fatal incident had occurred in one of the houses in the village of Pishchane in the Zolotonosha district. In one of the rooms of the house, law enforcement officers discovered the dismembered body. Later, it became known that the deceased was a sixty-year-old man.

The police established that the victim's thirty-seven-year-old son was involved in the commission of the crime.

The detainee confessed to the crime and explained that he intentionally killed his father during a conflict and subsequently dismembered his body. Subsequently, law enforcement officers detained the suspect under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code. At this stage, he is charged with committing intentional murder, as envisaged by Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of sixty days.

Pre-trial investigation is being conducted by law enforcement officers.
