Three times a day, the enemy shelled Nikopol area with artillery fire. Projectiles fell on the district center and the Marganetska community. There were no casualties reported. This information was provided by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Several private houses have been damaged, including 12 with one of them catching fire and the flames covering 80 square meters. Firefighters managed to extinguish it.
Additionally, 3 garages, 2 gas pipelines, 4 power lines, and 5 solar panels were damaged.
In Nikopol city council, it was emphasized that the enemy has been shelling Nikopol almost daily. Starting from Monday, two residents of the city have been killed as a result of enemy shelling, and four others received mine and shrapnel injuries.
Several structures have been damaged, including a church, a sports school, 2 high schools, 42 private residential buildings, 17 outbuildings, 6 cars, gas pipelines, power lines, and water pipes.
Municipal services are promptly involved in dealing with the consequences of shelling. Free building materials are provided to those affected, and emergency repairs are carried out to restore their ability to reside in their homes. Later, damaged walls and roofs will be repaired by other teams using the city's budget.
Employees of municipal enterprises help clean up debris, construction waste, broken glass, and more. Emergency teams are also working on restoring electricity and gas supply at the sites of shelling.
