Tiktoker who leaked video from Ukrainian defenders' positions detained in Odesa

Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Odessa has been informed of suspicion in the unauthorized dissemination of information regarding the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This information was reported by the press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, the suspect spread information about the location of Ukrainian defense units in Odessa and the region. He recorded video footage of fortifications for the protection and defense of the region's territory. The video material was posted on his TikTok account, which allowed for the identification of objects on the ground.

The video with commentary posted by the TikToker was viewed by nearly 10,000 users, including Russian users of the social network, who further disseminated it.

At the request of the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody without determining the amount of bail.

Pre-trial investigation in the criminal case is being conducted by the investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the Odessa region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict.
