On the afternoon of May 12, the occupation forces of the Russian Federation shelled the Nikopol district in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, leading to the injury of one person. This was reported by the Mayor of Nikopol, Alexander Sayuk, on his Facebook page.
According to him, as a result of the shelling, three residential buildings, an outbuilding, and a fence were destroyed. A religious structure, seven residential houses, six outbuildings, and two cars were also damaged. Gas pipelines and power lines were also damaged, and specialists are working on their restoration.
According to the head of the regional military administration, Sergey Lysak, a 29-year-old man was injured during the shelling and is currently in stable condition in the hospital.
In addition, rescuers were able to rescue a 71-year-old woman from under the rubble of a damaged building.
According to the Regional Military Administration, in addition to Nikopol, Russian forces also attacked the Marganets community in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
It should be noted that on the night of May 12, the Russians shelled the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast four times. In particular, the enemy targeted the Nikopol district. Nikopol itself, as well as the Chervonogryhorivka and Marganets communities, were under attack. The Russian army fired heavy artillery. There were no reported fatalities or injuries.
