In a month – Rosh Hashanah. How Cherkasy Region is preparing for the visit of pilgrims to Uman.

Igor Taburets, the head of the region, states:

'We recommend that pilgrims refrain from visiting Uman as much as possible, taking into account the ongoing war, regular shelling of our country, and possible provocations from Russia. However, we understand that some of the faithful, as last year, will still dare to come.

Therefore, in collaboration with the local authorities, the security and defense sector, and all relevant services, we are already working on preventive measures. Today, a special commission meeting was held on this matter with the participation of the Deputy Ambassador of the State of Israel in Ukraine, Ms. Liron Finkelstein. First and foremost, we are coordinating our work regarding security measures.

They will be strengthened, as they were last year. I will provide further details later. We are also working on other aspects, drawing from our experience during previous celebrations.

This includes providing medical assistance, the operation of public catering facilities, the work of municipal services, epidemiological measures, and more.
