This topic was discussed at a meeting for improving the population’s mental health chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
The Health Minister Viktor Liashko, representatives of the Ministry of Reintegration, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Economy, the National Health Service of Ukraine, the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and NGOs took part in the meeting. Additionally, psychology experts participated in the meeting.
The group talked about how important it is for colleges to offer “Medical Psychology” as a field of study.
Highly skilled psychology experts are currently in high demand, speakers concluded. Firstly, educational programs that teach aspiring psychologists must be enhanced.
This will assist graduates in becoming more capable and ready to handle the challenging psychological issues that arise during a large war.
