The Security Service (SSU) has uncovered another informant who was collecting information about the movements of the Armed Forces and the consequences of enemy shelling in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. This information was reported by the SSU press service.
The perpetrator was monitoring the flight paths of Ukrainian military aircraft and helicopters carrying out missions on the front lines. He would then share this information in the form of photos with coordinates via the social network "VKontakte."
According to the investigation, the collaborator with the Russian occupiers was a resident of Kryvyi Rih. After February 24, 2022, he started collecting and disseminating information about the deployment of the Armed Forces.
He established contact with an acquaintance in Krasnodar, who was under the watchful eye of Russian special services. It was through her that information about the routes of Ukrainian military vehicles and the consequences of Russian air attacks could potentially reach the occupiers.
During a search at the perpetrator's place of residence, computer equipment used in subversive activities in favor of the aggressor country was discovered. Additionally, banned symbols of the communist regime were seized from his residence.
Based on the gathered evidence, SSU investigators have charged him with two articles of the Ukrainian Criminal Code:
1. Part 2 of Article 114-2 (Unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment to Ukraine, the movement, transportation, or placement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces).
2. Part 1 of Article 436-1 (Production, dissemination of communist, Nazi symbolism, and propaganda of communist and national-socialist totalitarian regimes).
The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
