Odessa journalists donated blood on their professional holiday

On their professional holiday, media workers in Odessa participated in a blood donation campaign. This was reported by the Odessa City Council.

The "7 Channel" gathered a large group of donors, and the "048" publication and "STB" television channel also joined the campaign.

The head of the City Department of Health, Levon Nikogosyan, congratulated journalists on their professional holiday and thanked them for their constant support in mobilizing blood donors.

Thanks to the information support and cooperation through the "Donor Odessa" project, more than 4800 blood donors have been mobilized since the beginning of the full-scale war. This means thousands of saved lives.

Journalist Day is annually celebrated in Ukraine on June 6th, the day when the Union of Journalists of Ukraine was accepted into the International Federation of Journalists in 1992. The corresponding decree of the President of Ukraine, No. 251/94, was signed on May 25, 1994.

Journalist Day is not only a professional holiday for media workers. It is a national holiday because it is hard to imagine modern society without information, the means of its transmission, and the professional perspective on events and facts in our lives.
