Group of people who set up illegal gambling business to be tried in Dnipro region

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the organizer and five participants of an organized group who illegally set up a gambling establishment and conducted games of chance without a license will face legal proceedings. This information was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, the six members of the organized group set up a gambling establishment in the city of Pidhorodne in the Dnipro district.

Over the course of a year and a half, these individuals allowed people to play on gambling machines without a license and with internet access. People interested in playing on these machines could only gain access by calling the administrator of the gambling business in advance.

During searches conducted at the residences of the group members and in the gambling establishment, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones, money, computer equipment, and documentation confirming the illegal activities.

The participants involved in the illegal gambling business are being charged with Part 2 of Article 203-2 (Illegal organization or conduct of gambling games, lotteries) of the Criminal Code.
