A memorial plaque will be installed in Kropyvnytskyi to honor soldier Igor Buriyanov, who lost his life in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The decision was made by the executive committee of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council during their meeting on June 13. The plaque will be placed on the facade of the executive committee building of the Podil district council at 53/39 Arkhitektora Pauchenka Street.
Igor Buriyanov, born on September 5, 1987, in Kropyvnytskyi (formerly Kirovohrad), graduated from the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. He served as a deputy in the Podil district council of Kropyvnytskyi from 2010 to 2022 during the VI, VII, and VIII convocations.
In the early days of the full-scale war, he bravely went to defend Ukraine's state sovereignty and territorial integrity from the Russian aggression. Igor Buriyanov, a resilient, brave, and loyal warrior and mortarman, tragically lost his life on October 5 near the village of Orlianka in Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region.
He is survived by his parents, wife, and a young daughter.
