Dnipro region detains drug dealers working under the guise of law enforcement

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with the State Bureau of Investigations, has neutralized a criminal organization engaged in drug trafficking.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine. According to the investigation, the activities of the group were coordinated by four officials from one of the district units of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The criminal organization was involved in the wholesale and retail sale of methamphetamine. The distribution of psychotropic substances was carried out through an extensive network of drug dealers in the region. In addition, the criminals set up a "stationary point" for selling illegal substances at one of the city's technical service stations.

There, customers were allowed to immediately "sample" the purchased goods. As a result, the organizers of the drug business were making over 1.5 million hryvnias in monthly profits.

During comprehensive operations, nine members of the criminal organization, including the mentioned law enforcement officers, were detained. As a result of over 30 searches at the addresses of the suspects' residences and locations of drug distribution, over 50 prepared packages of methamphetamine for sale and other evidence of the crimes were discovered.

The detainees have been charged, and they face up to 13 years of imprisonment with property confiscation.
