On the night of June 24, 2023, Russian terrorists launched a massive attack on Dnipro. As a result of this enemy strike, there were damages and destruction to buildings in the city's private sector. There were also casualties, including children.

According to Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Serhiy Orlov, the attack resulted in damage to 25 buildings, with 4 of them completely destroyed. Based on updated information, a total of 11 people were affected, including 3 children. Two children and seven adults are currently receiving medical treatment.

"At the moment, the situation is under control. All services are operational. A special commission has been established, and all its members are currently at their workplaces, discussing the situation," stated Serhiy Orlov.

An Aid Coordination Center has been set up at the scene where local residents and those affected by the enemy shelling can seek assistance. According to the representative of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), Ihor Getalo, eight units of firefighting and rescue equipment, as well as 41 personnel, were deployed to work on mitigating the consequences of the missile strike on the private sector. SESU personnel managed to extinguish a fire covering an area of 25 square meters.

Rescue teams inspected the buildings damaged by the attack and accompanied the affected individuals to ambulances for further examination. Relevant services are continuing their work at the scene.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that during the night, the enemy carried out a missile strike on Ukrainian territory using air-based cruise missiles from Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 bombers, as well as sea-based "Kalibr" missiles and combat drones Shahed-136/131.

Strategic aviation aircraft, consisting of 10 units, launched 40 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea. Eight long-range aviation bombers Tu-22M3 launched attacks using 9 X-22 missiles from northern, southern, and eastern directions. The occupiers also launched two sea-based "Kalibr" missiles from the Black Sea waters. From the south, the enemy attacked with two combat drones Shahed-136/131.

All 40 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles, one "Kalibr" cruise missile, and two Shahed-136/131 combat drones were successfully intercepted by the air defense units.

Anti-aircraft missile units, aviation, and mobile fire groups from the air commands "Center," "South," and "East" of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the aerial attack. The Russian terrorists directed the X-22 missiles towards Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih.

As a reminder, during the same night, air defense units in the Odesa region successfully intercepted two "Kalibr" missiles.
