The Security Service (SSU) has detained a Russian national, Alexander Fedoseyev, in Dnipro, who is the right-hand man of the sanctioned billionaire Mikhail Shelkov. This information was reported on the SSU's website.

According to the SSU's findings, these individuals organized a scheme for the clandestine export of titanium raw materials from Ukraine to Russia. These materials were used in the military-industrial complex, including the production of missiles like the "Kalibr," combat aircraft such as the MiG-35 and Su-35, and Ka-52 helicopters.

The official position of the detained individual is an advisor to the CEO of the metallurgical corporation "VSMPO-AVISMA," which belongs to the Russian billionaire. It was through this company that Shelkov established supplies of valuable minerals from the Demurinsky Mining and Processing Plant, controlled by him in Dnipropetrovsk region, to Russia. Fedoseyev arrived in Ukraine on Shelkov's instructions before February 24, 2022, to oversee this illicit business.

According to available information, the organizers of this scheme smuggled nearly 11 tons of minerals to Russia, with a total value of almost $2 million.

SSU agents have documented the equipment and carried out comprehensive measures to hold the organizers of this scheme accountable.

Fedoseyev was evading justice, but as a result of operational actions, the SSU determined his whereabouts and detained him. During the search, a Russian passport and documents with evidence of illegal activities were found on him.

Previously, SSU investigators notified Shelkov and Fedoseyev of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing actions aimed at forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order, or seizing state power, changing the borders of Ukraine, or state border). Fedoseyev has been remanded in custody by the court, and he faces up to 8 years in prison. Comprehensive measures are ongoing to hold all individuals involved in the scheme accountable. The investigation was conducted under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office.
