Verkhovna Rada passes bill on additional payments to Ukrainian military

On June 28th, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed bill No. 9342 regarding payments to military personnel. This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak in his Telegram channel.

The bill was supported by 311 deputies.

The bill provides for payments to servicemen ranging from 30,000 to 100,000 hryvnias for those performing combat tasks.

For those wounded and recognized as unfit for military service and assigned to the disposition of the respective commanders, there will be two months of payments based on their last position, and from the third month until the end of the assignment, an additional payment of 201,000 hryvnias.

Additional payments for conscripts are set at 6,000 hryvnias per month, and for cadets, it is 2,350 hryvnias per month.

A one-time payment of 100,000 hryvnias is provided for those who have died as a result of injury. Severely wounded individuals receiving treatment, prisoners, and those missing in action will receive an additional monthly payment of 100,000 hryvnias.

Furthermore, the Verkhovna Rada has approved leaves for military personnel, cadets, and conscripts. Military personnel are entitled to annual leaves of up to 30 days and up to ten days for family reasons. Cadets are granted up to ten days of winter leave and up to 20 days of summer leave. Conscripts will now have a 30-day annual leave, increased from ten days.

Conscripts will also have the option to voluntarily switch to mobilization service.
