On July 10, a solemn unveiling of a Memorial Plaque took place in Znamianka urban territorial community, specifically on the building located on Viktor Holo Street. The plaque commemorates the soldier, a medical shooter of the mechanized detachment of the mechanized platoon of the military unit A3137, 56th Brigade, 37th Battalion, participant of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Maxim Volodymyrovych Khandusenko, who heroically died defending his native land.
According to the Znamianka City Council, the opening ceremony was attended by Maxim Khandusenko's family members, including his mother Olena Vyacheslavivna, sister Natalia, wife Olena Oleksandrivna, and daughters Sofia and Maria.
Representatives of the Znamianka authorities, as well as classmates, friends, teachers, and residents of the city, came to honor the bright memory of the Hero.
Those present paid tribute to the memory of Maxim Khandusenko and all the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the freedom, territorial integrity, and unity of Ukraine by observing a moment of silence with bowed heads.
After the moving speeches, Father Ivan, the clergyman of the religious community of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, blessed the memorial sign. Attendees then laid flowers and lit candles at the memorial. The mother and wife of the Hero were presented with flowers."
