Poltava region is one of the fifteen regions of Ukraine participating in the national initiative called "Shoulder-to-Shoulder.
" Within this project initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the rear regions of the country are assisting in the reconstruction of villages affected by occupation in the Kherson region.
One of such settlements is the village of Pravdyne. Its residents are gradually returning, and currently, 730 people reside there. During the occupation, Russian invaders destroyed the school, damaged over 400 buildings and social infrastructure, and neglected the cultural center. Workers from Poltava region are now assisting in the reconstruction of all these facilities. Four repair brigades have already started working on seven objects in Pravdyne.

It is worth mentioning that Cherkasy region has taken three settlements in the Kherson region, namely Ivanivka, Novopetrivka, and Mykolaivka, under its care. In particular, over 200 houses in Ivanivka need restoration. Restoration works have already begun, with construction workers and volunteers from the entire Cherkasy region involved in various projects.
Additionally, residents from Kirovohrad region are involved in the reconstruction of another Kherson village called Mala Oleksandrivka. Several shops and around a hundred houses in Mala Oleksandrivka need to be restored due to damage caused by Russian occupiers' shelling. Furthermore, seven houses, a village club, and a school were completely destroyed and will need to be rebuilt from scratch.
