Ivana Vyhivsky has been appointed as the Head of the National Police of Ukraine. The relevant decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on July 14.

Ivana Vyhivsky was born on March 26, 1980, in the Zhytomyr region. He began working at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in 1999 as an investigator at the Ochakiv City Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Mykolaiv region. In 2003, he graduated from the National University of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

In 2015-2016, he served as the Chief of the Ochakiv Police Department of the National Police Department in the Mykolaiv region. In 2016, Vyhivsky was appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police Department in the Mykolaiv region.

From February 14, 2020, Vyhivsky held the position of the Chief of the National Police Department in the Poltava region.

Starting from August 2021, he led the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv.

It's important to note that in January 2023, a plane crash involving the State Emergency Service (SES) occurred in the city of Brovary in the Kyiv region, resulting in the death of high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), including Minister Denis Monastyrsky. Following this tragedy, Igor Klymenko, who was then the head of the National Police, became the new head of the ministry. According to the government's decision on January 18, Igor Klymenko assumed the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Head of the National Police of Ukraine while concurrently performing the duties of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
