Two Shahed - OVA drones were shot down over the Dnipropetrovsk region at night

Occupiers launched a drone attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region overnight using Iranian-made Shahed drones, but all the drones were successfully intercepted and neutralized. This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration (OVA), Serhiy Lysak, in a Telegram message on the morning of July 17.

"Around 1:00, the enemy attacked the region with drones. Both Shahed drones in the sky over the region were shot down by our defenders," Lysak wrote. He noted that the defenders from the "East" Air Command were on duty.

Overall, according to the head of the OVA, the night in the region passed quietly, without enemy shelling.

In the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ZSU), it was reported that the Russian Federation had carried out another missile and aviation strike on Ukraine during the night. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.

During the past day, the enemy launched 11 missile and 49 aviation strikes, conducted 48 shelling with multiple rocket launchers on the positions of our troops and inhabited areas. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, civilians were injured, residential buildings, agricultural and administrative buildings, as well as private motor vehicles, were damaged.

The probability of missile and aviation strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high. It should be noted that on the morning of July 14, Russian forces once again attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region. On that occasion, the occupying forces launched Iranian-made "Shahed 136/131" kamikaze drones. Defenders from the "East" Air Command successfully intercepted and shot down six drones, but there were impacts in Kryvyi Rih, where the Russian attacks damaged a municipal enterprise.
