Ukrainian farmers can receive free wintering seeds from international partners

Farmers from Dnipropetrovsk region have the opportunity to receive free winter crop seeds from international partners. They can choose between wheat or barley seeds.

To participate, farmers need to submit an application through the State Agrarian Register, as reported by the regional military administration.

"The program is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, funded by the governments of Japan and Norway. Its goal is to support farmers in the most war-affected regions during the autumn sowing campaign," the statement said.

The assistance is available for individual entrepreneurs and individuals who own or lease agricultural land from 5 to 100 hectares. They can receive up to 2 tons of seeds, which is enough to sow 10 hectares of land.

The deadline for submitting applications through the State Agrarian Register is July 20.

This program is also being implemented in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odessa regions.
