Man tortured children in Poltava region: one found shot and wounded

On July 20, the Kremenchuk police received information from an employee of a local supermarket. The man reported that a minor girl approached him for help with visible signs of physical injuries on her face and body. Immediately, police officers and a domestic violence response team were dispatched to the scene.

Law enforcement officers discovered that an eight-year-old child was beaten by her intoxicated stepfather. The six-year-old brother of the girl was also injured by him.

Both children were found with numerous bruises, scratches, and hematomas. Additionally, the boy had a gunshot wound on his wrist. During the investigation at the family's residence, detectives discovered and confiscated an air pistol.

The children have been taken to a medical facility for treatment and care.

The man has been arrested, and an investigation is currently underway.
