In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the regional prosecutor's office exposed and reported five individuals associated with a criminal group involved in selling firearms and narcotics. These individuals are accused of possessing, purchasing, and selling firearms, ammunition without legal permits, as well as illegally acquiring, possessing, and distributing particularly dangerous narcotics and psychotropic substances for the purpose of selling. This information was disclosed by the press service of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, the five individuals established an illegal scheme for selling firearms and ammunition within the territory of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. They kept the weapons in their own homes and garage facilities and sought potential buyers through acquaintances, finalizing transactions during personal meetings. Payment for the firearms was received both through bank cards and in cash.
Furthermore, the criminal group also engaged in the sale of narcotics and psychotropic substances. They purchased cannabis and methamphetamine in wholesale quantities and sold them through their own distribution network, sharing the profits among themselves.
During the documentation of their activities, law enforcement officials conducted eight undercover purchases, acquiring an AK-74 assault rifle, an RPK-74 machine gun, a PM pistol, over 1000 rounds of ammunition, 14 grams of cannabis, and 100 grams of methamphetamine.
All members of the group have been apprehended, and the question of selecting preventive measures, such as custody, is currently being resolved.
