During the evening attack by the Russian Federation on July 26th over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukrainian defenders successfully shot down an enemy missile. According to Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, a fire occurred due to the falling debris from the intercepted missile. He stated, "In the evening, our defenders shot down a missile over the region. A fire occurred due to the falling debris, which has already been extinguished by rescuers. No one was injured."
Additionally, according to the head of the Regional State Administration, the enemy attacked the city of Nikopol in the morning with heavy artillery. Administrative buildings and a private enterprise were damaged, and three residential houses, cars, a gas pipeline, and power lines were also affected. One outbuilding was destroyed. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Lysak summarized, "It passed without casualties."
It's worth noting that during the day, two "Kalibr" missiles were intercepted over Vinnytsia Oblast during the air raid.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that during today's missile attack, the Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down over 30 missiles, the majority of those used against Ukraine. He praised the air defense forces, saying, "There were some hits, and there were falls of missile debris. But what's crucial is that the audacity of this attack was successfully thwarted. The air defense forces did a great job."
