Odesa Zoo supports Kherson Kulish Theater

On July 29, 2023, a charity event titled "Unbeatable, Odesa - Kherson - ARTnastup" took place at the Odesa Zoo, as reported by the Odesa City Council.

This event was organized as part of an original project by Olena Alekseyenko in collaboration with the Odesa Zoo. The purpose of this charitable event was to support the Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater named after Mykola Kulish. The artists from the theater had to leave their native Kherson due to the start of the Russian occupation, and they have been touring Ukraine, including Odesa, where most of them currently reside.

The exhibition featured paintings by 16 Odesa artists, and these artworks were handed over to the Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater named after M. Kulish. Additionally, an aquarium with a rescued turtle, which the artists saved after the flooding caused by the explosion of the Kakhovska Hydroelectric Station, will be placed in the theater.

The artists were honored with certificates, thanks, and gifts during the event. The director of the "Masks" theater and People's Artist of Ukraine, Boris Barsky, addressed the event participants.

The event featured vibrant performances by artistic groups from Odesa Art School No. 5, the Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity, and local musicians.

The charitable event received support from the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, the library and the newspaper "Kadry – Budovam" of the Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture, as well as the Telegram channel "Rizna Odesa."
