Two administrators of Telegram channels have been convicted for obstructing mobilization measures in Cherkasy region. This was reported by the press service of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The prosecutors of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office proved in court the involvement of two individuals from Cherkasy in obstructing the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period (part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

During the trial, the prosecutor demonstrated that these individuals created and administered several thematic groups on the Telegram app. In these groups, they disseminated information aimed at evading mobilization by Ukrainian citizens during a state of war, including spreading messages about the locations where draft notices were issued by the employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers.

In court, the men pleaded guilty and assured that they would refrain from any unlawful behavior in the future that could interfere with the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a result, the court sentenced the defendants to 5 years of imprisonment with a probation period.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support were conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region.
