On August 7th, around noon, the Russian occupying army launched a reconnaissance drone towards Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The defenders from the Eastern Air Command successfully landed the drone. Additionally, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Sergiy Lysak, reported that the Russians had been shelling Nikopol with heavy artillery since the morning.
Unfortunately, there was a fatality as a result of the Russian attack. A 36-year-old man lost his life. Another resident of the city, a 68-year-old man, was injured but is in stable condition and will receive treatment at home. Private residential houses, agricultural structures, vehicles, gas pipelines, and power transmission lines were also damaged by the shelling.
As previously mentioned by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, during the night of August 7th, the Russian occupying army struck Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with a missile. The explosion occurred in Synelnykivskyi District, resulting in a fire that was extinguished by firefighters. In addition to that, on the morning of August 7th, Russian forces shelled the Myrivska community in Nikopol District. Various types of projectiles from heavy artillery hit the area.
These attacks have caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure and resulted in casualties and injuries among the local population.
