Ukraine's border marker re-installed on Zmeinyi Island (VIDEO)

On the island of Zmiinyi, servicemen from the Izmail Border Guard Unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine landed. They restored historical justice and returned the border marker to the island. This information was reported on the Facebook page of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Sergey Deineko, the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, also visited the island along with his fighters and paid tribute to all those who liberated Zmiinyi Island and every piece of our land. Ukraine will undoubtedly prevail.

To provide some context, Russian occupying forces began attacking the Ukrainian island of Zmiinyi on February 24, 2022. After a rocket attack on the Ukrainian border garrison, the occupiers managed to seize the island. However, Ukrainian troops managed to regain control of the island on July 7, 2022, and hoisted the state flag. Ukrainian forces cleared the island, uncovering 30 pieces of enemy equipment.

Earlier, we reported that Russian occupiers targeted Zmiinyi Island with a high-explosive aerial bomb. According to Natalia Humenyuk, the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, such attacks are related to the grain deal.
