Air defense forces destroyed 36 enemy missiles and 30 drones

During the night of May 30, 2023, from 23:30 to 04:30, Russian occupation forces once again attacked Ukraine with Iranian combat drones called "Shahed." This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, there were launches of 31 kamikaze drones from both the north and the south.

Our soldiers successfully destroyed 29 of these combat UAVs. Almost all of the drones were neutralized on approach to the capital and in the skies over Kyiv.

Over the past day, the Russian Federation carried out two massive missile and aviation strikes on Ukrainian territory. During the night, the adversary employed cruise missiles X-101/X-555 from airbases and Iranian combat UAVs "Shahed-136/131." Ukrainian Air Force, in collaboration with air defense and other branches of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, managed to eliminate 36 out of 40 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles and 30 out of 38 "Shahed" combat UAVs.

During the daytime, the adversary used cruise and ballistic missiles of the Iskander operational-tactical missile system against civilian and critical infrastructure in Kyiv. The Ukrainian Air Force successfully destroyed 11 out of 11 missiles.

In total, over the past day, the adversary conducted 62 aviation strikes and carried out 54 artillery shelling attacks with multiple launch rocket systems. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population, and private residential buildings and other infrastructure have been damaged.

The adversary continues to focus its main efforts on attempts to fully occupy the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Over the past day, the defense forces repelled 27 enemy attacks.

The adversary has intensified counterintelligence measures in the temporarily occupied Skadovsk district of the Kherson region. Occupying forces are conducting mass raids on houses and apartments of local residents, checking personal documents and mobile devices. This is an attempt to intimidate the local population and identify those who assist the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian aviation conducted 15 airstrikes against areas with enemy personnel and military equipment concentration during the day. Additionally, four enemy reconnaissance UAVs of different types were destroyed over the past day.

Units of missile troops and artillery struck three ammunition storage and military equipment concentration areas, ammunition depots, three anti-aircraft defense systems, and three other important targets of the adversary.

In total, Ukrainian forces eliminated 410 Russian occupiers over the past day, destroyed one tank, two combat armored vehicles, 10 artillery systems, one air defense system, 38 operational-tactical-level UAVs, 51 cruise missiles, 12 vehicles, and one unit of special equipment.
