Judoka from Poltava region wins third place at European tournament

Judo athlete Yaroslav Omelchenko from Horishni Plavni, Kremenchuk district of Poltava region, Ukraine, won a bronze medal at the 2023 European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) held in Maribor, Slovenia. He competed in the +81 kg weight category and secured the bronze medal by defeating a representative from France.

In the overall competition, the Ukrainian team earned a bronze medal in the mixed team event. The Ukrainian team consisted of the following athletes:
