Air targets were spotted over Cherkasy region, - head of the region

On the night of May 14, two air alarms were sounded in Cherkasy region. As reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Igor Taburets, the night passed without consequences.

According to Igor Taburets, two aerial targets were detected in the region:

"From evening until morning, the enemy did not give our defenders of the sky any rest. It rages due to Ukrainian resilience. Aerial targets were also detected over Cherkasy. However, fortunately, two prolonged alarms passed without consequences for us."

According to the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the night of May 14, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine from various directions with combat drones "Shahed-136/131," "Caliber" missiles from ships in the Black Sea, and cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55 from strategic aviation Tu-95MS.

During the night attack, three cruise missiles and 25 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed:

18 combat drones of the "Shahed-136/131" type;
One combat UAV of the "Lancet" type;
Two tactical UAVs "Orlan-10";
Four UAVs (type to be specified);
Three cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55.
During the day on May 13 and the beginning of May 14, the tactical aviation of the Air Force carried out up to fifty sorties for fire impact on the enemy and fighter aviation cover.
