To award the title of Hero of Ukraine: wife of a defender from Vinnytsia region registers a petition

Veronika Kushnir, the wife of the late Senior Soldier Roman Kushnir from Vinnytsia, requests the posthumous awarding of the title Hero of Ukraine. She has published this petition on the President of Ukraine's electronic petition website.

"Senior Soldier Roman Yuriyovych Kushnir distinguished himself in battles with the enemy with his bravery and dedication to the Ukrainian state. He served as part of military unit 3008 since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, later transferred to the military unit 3028 and held the rank of 'Senior Soldier.' He served as a medic shooter in the 2nd squad of the 3rd platoon of the operational unit of the 'Jaguar' operational unit, where he repeatedly demonstrated his high combat skills and the ability to act in complex combat situations. With his bravery and dedication to Ukraine, he set an example for his fellow soldiers.

Senior Soldier Roman Yuriyovych Kushnir died in battle, defending the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. His actions serve as an example of the highest sacrifice and patriotism deserving of recognition and honor.

The awarding of the title Hero of Ukraine to Senior Soldier Roman Kushnir is an expression of gratitude for his dedicated service and loyalty to the Ukrainian state. Such a prestigious distinction will serve as an example for other soldiers who continue to fight for the freedom and independence of our country," reads the text of the petition.

Senior Soldier Roman Yuriyovych Kushnir died on December 15, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the village of Svirne, Donetsk region, Eastern Ukraine. He was 29 years old.
