At night, Russians attacked Odesa with missiles and attack drones

On the night of August 14, the Russian occupying army launched "Kalibr" missiles from the Black Sea waters and Iranian kamikaze drones "Shahed 136/131" from the southeast direction towards Odessa. This information was reported by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Odessa City Council also reported that Russian forces attacked Odessa three times during the night. All the missiles and drones launched were heading towards the Odessa region.

In total, the Russians launched 15 "Shahed 136/131" attack drones and eight "Kalibr" cruise missiles. All these targets were successfully intercepted by the air defense forces of Ukraine, which used anti-aircraft guided missiles and the small arms of the immediate defense units to shoot them down.

As a result of the attack, several fires broke out. Windows were shattered, and facades of residential buildings were damaged. According to Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, debris from the downed "Kalibr" cruise missiles and Iranian kamikaze drones fell on a dormitory of one of the educational institutions, a residential building, and the "Fozzy" supermarket. Three supermarket employees were injured, two of whom were hospitalized but are currently recovering at home.

Additionally, more than 200 damaged buildings have been reported, and emergency services are on-site to provide assistance.
