Resident of Vinnytsia region is served a notice of suspicion for supporting Russian army

A resident of Mohyliv-Podilskyi in Vinnytsia region has been informed of suspicion due to his justification and recognition of the lawful armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Additionally, the individual glorified persons who carried out this aggression. This information was reported by the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The suspect registered on the prohibited Russian social network "Odnoklassniki" in 2017. After February 24, 2022, he began to publish pro-Russian content on this platform.

The man disseminated posts from groups with names such as "Antimaidan and us 945,000 with Truth and God!" and "Novorossiya." In these publications, the terrorist organization "DNR," which "together with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continues to liberate populated areas from Ukrainian occupiers," is legitimized under the guise of "official reports." These publications also contained fabricated statistics of combat losses on both sides and mourning for deceased militants in the Mariupol campaign.

According to the expert opinion, the disseminated materials have a public character and are accessible to a wide range of Internet users.

For this crime, the penalty is imprisonment for up to 5 years or imprisonment for the same term with property confiscation or without it.
