Men who committed armed robbery to be tried in Vinnytsia region

In Vinnytsia Oblast, the regional prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-trial investigation in a criminal case involving three residents of Kyiv region who committed an armed robbery and stole money from a company in Vinnytsia Oblast. This information was reported by the press service of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, on August 7, 2023, the men arrived in the Teplytska territorial community of Vinnytsia Oblast. They threatened with a pistol and carried out an armed robbery against the security guard of an agricultural enterprise, stealing almost UAH 250,000 in cash.

Currently, the suspects have been informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 187 (Robbery committed with the aim of seizing property in large or especially large amounts, or committed by an organized group or in conditions of martial law or a state of emergency, or combined with causing serious bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The men have also been remanded in custody as a preventive measure.

Investigative actions are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crimes.

If the suspects are found guilty by the court, they may face a punishment of imprisonment for up to fifteen years with the confiscation of property.
