In the city of Smila in Cherkasy region, the aftermath of a Russian missile strike on August 15 is being dealt with. According to the head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Igor Taburets, two Russian missiles hit completely civilian, peaceful objects, including a ceramics production facility and medical institutions.

The Russians have once again caused harm in a peaceful Ukrainian city, but miraculously, no one was injured. However, buildings have been damaged, including broken windows and roofs damaged by explosive shockwaves. Water supply and heating networks were also affected. Currently, 12,000 residents are without water.

Taburets emphasized that the key task is to restore water supply to the city. Repair work is expected to take four to five days. He urged residents to follow updates from the city authorities regarding the water supply schedule and delivery arrangements.

He also mentioned that they have resolved the water supply issue for the affected medical facility in cooperation with the State Emergency Service of the region.
