Man beats 68-year-old pensioner with a stick in Dnipropetrovs'k region

On August 12th, in one of the villages in the Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk region, a man fatally beat a 68-year-old pensioner. This information was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.

Law enforcement officers established that a conflict occurred between neighbors on the territory of one house. During the altercation, the 64-year-old suspect struck the victim multiple times with a wooden club. The 68-year-old pensioner succumbed to the injuries he sustained.

The police detained the suspect under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

On August 13th, the man was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense, as provided for in Part 2 of Article 121 (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The issue of selecting a preventive measure for the perpetrator is currently being addressed.
