Yesterday's shelling in Smila damaged the city's infrastructure and a medical facility. We thank everyone who immediately rushed to help and mitigate the consequences of the enemy attacks. The 12th State Fire and Rescue Department (DPRCh) was immediately reinforced by employees of the regional emergency service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Police and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) personnel were also involved. They provided 100 food and hygiene kits to emergency service responders and municipal workers who were engaged on-site from the first minutes after the missile strikes. Tarps, film, containers, and other necessary items were also received.
All municipal services in the city were involved in the cleanup efforts following the enemy rocket strikes. Cherkasy also responded to the situation. Workers from "Cherkasyvodokanal" will assist in restoring the damaged water supply networks. The primary task is to restore water supply to the city. Repair works are expected to last approximately 4-5 days.
