In the Odessa region, 70% of Ukraine's vineyards are concentrated, covering a total area of over 23,000 hectares. Approximately 7% of these vineyard areas have been affected by enemy shelling.

The director of the Department of Agricultural Policy, Food, and Land Relations of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, Alla Stoyanova, provided this information. She mentioned that about 260,000 tons of grapes are grown in Odessa, and there are 200 agricultural enterprises involved in grape growing in the region, including 49 wineries. The largest vineyard areas are located in the Bolgrad district, where they cultivate 78,000 tons of grapes, in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky district with 76,000 tons, and in the Odessa district with 27,000 tons.

Alla Stoyanova also mentioned that the grape-growing industry employs between 5,000 to 7,000 people, and these numbers double during the season. Additionally, a state information system called the "Grape and Wine Register" has been established in the region.
