Online reservation of a place at Dnipro cemeteries: how much it costs and how the service works

In Dnipro, an electronic reservation system for burial plots has been launched. The city's mayor, Boris Filatov, tasked the relevant department with implementing this service to eliminate corruption. According to the city's press service, Dnipro is the only city in Ukraine where such a service has been introduced.

The electronic burial plot reservation service can be accessed online through the official website (https://ritual.dniprorada.gov.ua) or by visiting the Customer Service Centers (ЦНАП) or the Department of Social Welfare of the city. The Department of Information Technologies provided training to all the staff at the Customer Service Centers and social welfare departments who work with the system. They received instructions and are connected to a 24/7 chat support for assistance regarding the system's operation.

The cost of reserving a burial plot is 2605.10 UAH (Ukrainian Hryvnia). After payment confirmation and receiving a receipt, individuals need to contact the Communal Enterprise "Ritual Services" and sign a contract. To do this, they should have the applicant's passport, a medical certificate stating the cause of death, and the death certificate. Currently, burial plot reservations are available at cemeteries on Mukachivska Street and Bohuna Street.

This electronic system aims to make the process of reserving burial spaces more transparent and efficient, reducing the potential for corruption in the allocation of cemetery plots.
