Antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, painkillers, surgical gowns, and disposable medical devices were donated to the Cherkasy Central District Hospital by the humanitarian hub 'Cherkasy'.
In the conditions of martial law, it is important that patients receive timely medical assistance, and medical facilities are provided with everything necessary, as stated by the head of the charitable organization Anna Vovk to Suspilne.
She notes that they receive an extremely large number of requests from all over Ukraine. However, the top priority for the hub is to provide support to the hospitals in the Cherkasy region.
"We received a request from the Cherkasy Central District Hospital because we understand that the number of internally displaced persons has significantly increased here. In addition to serving the local population, they are also serving internally displaced persons. We have already delivered assistance to Chornobai, Kamianka, and Cherkasy. This is our standard set of humanitarian aid," Anna Vovk explained.
The Chief Doctor of the Cherkasy Central District Hospital, Mykola Huskov, emphasized that every charitable contribution to the institution is very important since funding does not come from centralized sources but from the money they earn from the National Health Service of Ukraine.
"The number of surgical patients in our hospital has significantly increased, as well as patients receiving palliative care. The number of patients has increased, and we need additional medical assistance, products, and hygiene items," said Mykola Huskov.
