Three children drowned while swimming in Kryvyi Rih: two managed to escape, another died

On August 22nd, in Kryvyi Rih, a boy drowned while swimming. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region. At 15:01, the rescue service received a notification from witnesses that three children were drowning near Stary Vokzalna Street in the Inhulets River in the Central-Miskyi district of Kryvyi Rih.

In response to the call, rescuers from two on-duty units, as well as divers-rescuers from the municipal enterprise "ARMS Water Rescue," arrived at the scene. One of the teenagers managed to climb onto a concrete support on his own.

Another 12-year-old boy was saved by a witness to the incident, who later started to drown himself. The man was rescued thanks to the actions of National Police officers before the arrival of the fire and rescue units. The 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital by emergency medical workers.

The third 12-year-old boy also went missing under the water. Diver-rescuers found the body of the child at a distance of 30 meters from the shore and at a depth of five meters, after which it was brought to the shore.

Thirteen personnel members and three units of equipment from the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the municipal enterprise "ARMS Water Rescue" were involved in the incident.
