A resident of Cherkasy region faces up to eight years in prison for recording and posting a video of a military equipment convoy on social media.

According to the press service, the blogger recorded photos and videos of the movement of a Ukrainian military equipment convoy with ammunition. He then posted these media files on his TikTok page with geolocation tags.

"In just a few minutes, this video was picked up by Russian propaganda pages, including pro-Kremlin channels on Telegram with a total audience of over 100,000 subscribers. Furthermore, on the blogger's personal TikTok page, this content was viewed by over half a million users," the press service reported.

SBU officers from Cherkasy region identified the blogger's location and stopped his illegal activities. He explained his criminal actions by a desire to "grow" his audience. During a search at his place of residence, they found a mobile phone that he used to record the movement of Ukrainian troops and subsequently post the videos.

Based on the evidence collected, he has been informed of suspicion under Article 114-2 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

A resident of Kirovohrad region also faces up to eight years in prison.
