In Poltava region, residents of villages located near the Kyiv-Kharkiv highway, not far from Suprunivka, have established a roadside point where Ukrainian soldiers can stop and have a meal. Local women are preparing food for the servicemen as part of this volunteer initiative. This information is being shared on the website of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

From the second day of the full-scale invasion, local residents rallied together and started assisting the military. Initially, they helped repair damaged vehicles. Later, they joined forces with local female volunteers to create a food distribution point for the soldiers. Volunteer Dmitry Fisun explains that the food is prepared by women from nearby villages, and hot meals are in high demand.

"At first, we baked pastries for our guys at the checkpoint, and then for the hospital. When Dmitry said we needed help, people responded immediately. We mainly prepare borscht, which is the most requested by the fighters. We also make potatoes, pilaf, and for desserts, grated cake," says one of the women, volunteer Inna Pashchenko.

The Poltava Regional Military Administration believes that such initiatives should be supported at all levels. Deputy Chief of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Maxim Kalinin, had a conversation with the volunteers and discussed further assistance for the Ukrainian soldiers.

Previously, a twelve-meter flag brought from the heroic city of Mykolaiv was paraded through Odessa.

We also reported that in Poltava, schoolchildren organized a fair to raise funds for a drone for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On April 13, on the eve of the bright holiday of Easter, a fair was held at Poltava Lyceum No. 6 "Leader," where schoolchildren sold their handicrafts and snacks to collect funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The goal is quite ambitious – to purchase a kamikaze drone for the 116th Territorial Defense Battalion, which is formed in the Poltava region. Before the event, schoolchildren prepared in advance, baking homemade pastries, various desserts, and sweets, as well as making patriotic souvenirs.
